  1. Keith Plant I have always been blessed by Great teaching Jim Graham, Mark Stibbs, Malcom Duncan and most recently Neil Bartlett. All great teachers who taught me LOTS and who I was privileged to talk to first hand! So I have never been starved of discussion of Gods word. Yours is one of the first I have encountered that shook me! Job! This has been the first time I’ve heard Job taught! And i have needed it. I have never had any problem with God the MS but I do have the question “What’s going on!” I grew up fit and able God allowed me to be blessed with fitness and then I got MS a decease that cripples me! I have SIX careers each day to get me up and put me in the Electric wheelchair and put me into bed! And still a God is doing great things I can list stories of the miraculous that He has done BUT I’m still not healed! And then I crash into your Job sermons! I have found them Really good Thanks it has been good for me! TIM

    1. Hi Timothy, thanks for your kind remarks as they are certainly an encouragement to this small town Pastor. Job is certainly a book that challenges our preconceptions of the world and grapples with the big questions like the book of Ecclesiastes does (which I have also preached on). I’m glad it was an encouragement to you in your situation.
Although I wouldn’t claim to face anything like you, I lost my brother when he was only 29 in an accident, my Father died quite early and my Mother, who was a wonderful Christian lady, suffered from severe dementia and had to be looked after by my wife (who has a handicap) and myself while ministering my former Church and then this one. I’ve always found Job encouraging as it does not attempt to sugar-coat suffering (the Bible never does) but it shows us that we have a God we can trust even when things make no sense whatsoever to us!
Thank you so much again for your encouragement as the work and a small Church that is attempting to reach out with the good news of the Gospel is never easy. The last sermon the series will be posted by early next week on Facebook and can also be found on our website.
Please feel free to stay in touch as can always contact me through face book, the webpage or if you’d like you can have my personal email, although it may take me time to reply as things around here often get very busy.

      Your Brother in Christ,
      Keith.
